Saturday EV3 Workshop in
The February EV3 workshop kicked off a new series of Saturday workshops! Students ages 8 to 12 years old got a primer in EV3 programming. They learned how to make their robot move around the room and how add a third motor attachment. Thanks to the Regional Access Project Foundation for allowing us to hold our workshop in your Palm Desert location!
Students at Oasis Elementary have been working hard learning about engineering and scientific exploration through robotics as part of an 8 week long Mobile Robotics Lab!
Students in 1st-5th grade explored a wide range of STEAM projects in our week-long winter break camps - solar power, engineering, geology, marine life, and the wonderful world of the microscope!

High school students from across 3 school districts joined SMaRT Education for the Youth Experience, which featured speakers and exhibitors from business and industry and education, to learn about the challenges that are facing the Salton Sea, and how renewable energy and water conservation can help us improve sustainability and do our part to address climate change.
Special thanks to all of the exhibitors that helped make the Youth Experience a fantastic event: College of the Desert , Hot Purple Energy , Veolia North America, Sierra Club, The Living Desert, California State University San Bernardino Palm Desert Campus , DHSHS Renewable Energy Academy of Learning and CCHS DATA.
