Has your child ever asked about the animals that live in the ocean? Have you ever wondered why we know so little about the vast variety of sea life at the bottom of the ocean?
Students will discover the magic of the ocean in this camp with projects and activities that allow them to learn about marine life and how humans can help better care for our oceans.
Includes lessons on Challenger Deep, animal life in the deepest parts of the ocean and why it’s so difficult to study them, how trash from humans is affecting sea creatures, what it takes to clean-up an oil spill*.
*Please note: This experiment will use motor oil. Students will be given coveralls, gloves and safety goggles to wear. Please take this into consideration before registering your child for this camp.
