Fall STEAM Camp
In proud partnership with
Camps at SciTech Academy are a fun, hands-on way to explore the world of
Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math.
Including Programming, Engineering Concepts, Scientific Exploration, Digital Media, Robotics, and more!
The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) announced on Tuesday October 20, 2020 that Riverside County must move back to the state’s purple tier, which is the most restrictive tier that requires several types of businesses to move operations outside. We are so fortunate to have a large covered patio space right next to our classroom where we will be holding our upcoming camps, classes and workshops until we are allowed to resume indoor programs. Reminder, masks or facial coverings are still required even when outdoors.
SMaRT Education is excited to offer our first ever Fall STEAM Camp at SciTech Academy, our science and technology center in Palm Springs! This 3-day camp will be filled with lots of outdoor fun and exploration of robotic technology, digital media and more!!!
NOTE: SciTech Academy is located at the north end of the Palm Springs Air Museum grounds, not inside the museum. Please follow the signs for the "Berger Learning Annex".
Camps run Monday November 23rd through Wednesday November 25th, 2020.

The health, safety and well-being of our students, our staff, their families, and the community are most important to us. With that in mind, we have modified our typical format to fit current guidelines and best practices.
-Students are required to wear masks when attending camps/classes/workshops.
-Students will be met by the instructor outside the classroom at the covered waiting area at drop off 5 minutes before class starts.
-Students can be picked up at the covered waiting area 5 minutes before the end of class.
-Drop off is 5 minutes before class starts. Please do not arrive any earlier. Families may not wait in the classroom if arriving early to drop off or pick up. If you arrive early to drop off, please wait in your vehicle or outside. If you arrive early to pick up, you may certainly take your student early, but may not wait in the classroom for class to be over.
-Adults dropping off or picking up should not enter beyond the door to the classroom (if indoor programs are allowed to resume).
-All persons must wear a facial covering at all times. This is required by the City of Palm Springs and the state of California.
-We ask that families only send one person to drop off or pick up students. All others should wait in the car or outside the gates.
-We also ask that families minimize the number of persons dropping off and picking up as much as possible.
-Students who are sick, or have had a fever should not come to camp.
-Class size will be limited to 8 students.
-Students are required to bring their own water bottles, snacks, and lunch.
SMaRT Education reserves the right to further modify the camp format as needed to comply with state/county/city government regulations as needed in the coming months. Protocols will continue to be refined and adjusted as needed to ensure everyone’s well being.
A refund is given only when the SMaRT Education cancels the class. SMaRT Education reserves the right to cancel and/or reschedule programs at any time. Credit is not given for absences.
Due to the outdoor location of this program, inclement weather may require that we move the camp to an alternate covered location on the museum grounds that provides more protection, or reschedule a class.
